Two years on from THE LIGHT IN THE HALL, Caryl Huws has gone back into education to become a journalist. Looking for the perfect story to land her that dream job with a local newspaper, Caryl is fascinated by the mysterious death of Llyr Owen, in an explosion at the site of a controversial reservoir in 1995. At first glance, it seemed that Llyr had died committing a terrorist act, but police soon found evidence implicating Rhys Owen, Llyr’s cousin. Rhys was convicted and sentenced to prison, but now he is back in Llanemlyn to care for his ailing father.
With the newly announced expansion of the reservoir on everyone’s lips, and with Rhys still protesting his innocence, Caryl is compelled to investigate what really happened.
